Application

How to Use Eyemist Gel

Directions: put 1 or 2 drops of gel in the affected eye(s) as needed, or as directed on the product labeling. Four simple steps:

1

Wash your hands

Make sure your hands are clean and dry before touching the area around your eyes.

2

Form a small pocket

Tilt your head back and gently pull your lower eyelid down to form a small pocket.

3

Apply the gel

Squeeze 1 or 2 drops of gel into the pocket. Do not touch the tip of the tube to your eye or to any other surface.

4

Blink and recap

Blink gently to spread the gel across the eye, then replace the cap right away.

If an eye-care professional has given you different instructions, follow those. Always read the labeling that comes with your pack.

Read before use

Safety & Storage

Straight from the labeling — the good-practice rules and the situations where you should put the tube down and talk to a doctor.

Good practice

  • For external use only.
  • Do not touch the tip of the tube to any surface — this helps avoid contaminating the gel.
  • Replace the cap after using.
  • Do not use if the tamper seal on the pack is broken or missing.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Stop use and ask a doctor if

  • You experience eye pain.
  • You notice changes in vision.
  • Redness or irritation of the eye continues.
  • The condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours.
Storage: store between 15–25 °C (59–77 °F). Use before the expiry date printed on the pack.

Gel vs drops

How an Eye Gel Differs from Liquid Eye Drops

A lubricant gel and liquid drops are two formats of the same idea — the main difference is texture. Here is a plain side-by-side look, so you can pick the format that fits your routine.

Eyemist Gel

  • Thicker gel texture that coats the eye surface when applied.
  • Applied as 1 or 2 drops of gel, as needed — see the directions above.
  • May briefly blur vision while it spreads — many people apply it in the evening.

Liquid eye drops

  • Light, liquid texture that spreads across the eye instantly.
  • Vision stays clear almost immediately after application.
  • A common choice for daytime use.

Good at the end of a long day

Good for dry, tired eyes at the end of a workday. I use a small amount so it does not blur too much. I wish the tube were a touch bigger, but the 5-pack sorted that out.

Comfortable and long-lasting

Thicker than watery drops so it clings and lasts. I only need it once or twice a day now instead of constantly.

Read the ingredients first, then bought

Switched to this after my usual gel got hard to find locally. I read the ingredient list on the site first, which I appreciated. Application is straightforward and it seems to stay put longer than plain drops.

Ordered the 3-pack

Ordered the 3-pack to save a little. It works well for me after long flights when my eyes get really dry. The blur right afterwards is the only downside, takes a minute to clear.

Easy to apply before bed

My optometrist mentioned I could try a lubricant gel for overnight dryness. This one is easy to apply and the tube tip is controllable. My eyes feel more comfortable when I wake up. I keep it on the nightstand now.
